Pastor Paul Adefarasin faces criticism from Some X users for his Response to Trump being shot at

 

Donald Trump, the former US president, was shot by an unidentified gunman during a recent tragic incident at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Trump was swiftly led away from the area by armed security officers, including Secret Service agents, who responded quickly to guarantee his safety. Following this incident, Nigerian Pastor Paul Adefarasin, Founder and Senior Pastor of the House on the Rock, took to his Official X page to condemned the political violence in the US and expressed his gratitude for Trump’s survival.

Adefarasin extended his condolences to the deceased spectator’s family, prayed for the injured, and wished Trump a speedy recovery. He commended the Secret Service for their swift actions, thanked God for the failed assassination attempt, and lauded President Biden for his response and conversation with Trump.

On his Official X page Pastor Adefarasin said, “We condemn political violence in the leading democracy of the free world. We are thankful to God for the survival of former President Donald J. Trump without fatal injury. We extend our condolences to the family of the deceased spectator and offer our prayers for the injured. Our prayers remain for a speedy and total recovery of former President Trump.

We applaud the rapid response of the Secret Service and are grateful that the assassination attempt failed. This allows Donald Trump to continue in the democratic process. We salute President Biden for condemning the assassination attempt and for his conversation with Donald Trump.

Our prayers are with both candidates and the democratic process in America. As Africans, we draw inspiration from the American democratic process. Long live American democracy, and may God bless America.”
