In his message, he emphasized God’s unmatched power as the ultimate Commander-in-Chief of Christian soldiers.
Quoting Joshua 10:11, Pastor Adeboye explained that God was the first to “throw bombs” when He rained hailstones upon Israel’s enemies. “If any force threatens you by air, our Commander-in-Chief will bomb them,” he proclaimed, reinforcing the might and authority of God in spiritual warfare.
He described the rigorous preparation of Christian soldiers, likening their spiritual journey to military training. Drawing from 2 Timothy 2:3-4, he explained, “A soldier endures hardness, not hardship,” emphasizing the difference between a civilian and a trained warrior.
Pastor Adeboye also highlighted God’s invincibility, referencing passages such as Exodus 15:3, which calls the Lord a “man of war,” and Isaiah 40:28-31, which declares His strength and tirelessness. He assured believers that their Commander-in-Chief, who commands hosts in heaven, on earth, and under the earth, is always victorious.
Referring to Exodus 14:15, Pastor Adeboye reminded the congregation that God’s directive is never to retreat, even in the face of obstacles. “A Christian soldier must never run from the enemy,” he declared, noting that the armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18) provides no protection for the back.
He concluded with a charge to overcome barriers through faith and praise. “Every obstacle against your progress will fall tonight,” he affirmed, encouraging believers to keep marching forward as victorious soldiers under God’s command.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
