Social media users have responded in a variety of ways to the huge gathering that greeted Peter Gregory Obi, the Labour Party’s (LP) candidate for president in 2023 and the former governor of Anambra state, in Bauchi state. The villagers were seen beaming with happiness when they saw Obi in the video that was posted on Dr. Moses Paul’s official X handle. Paul was one of the team members who accompanied Obi to the state. In the post that Dr. Moses Paul made on his page, he said after Peter Obi installed a borehole in the Sabon Layi area of Bauchi state, he also extended aid to approximately 100 individuals.
He wrote on his page;
“After the events in Gombe, our journey led us to Sabon Layi, situated along the Kano road in Turu, Bauchi State. In this community, Peter Obi once again demonstrated his commitment to positive change by overseeing the installation and commissioning of a borehole. Additionally, he extended aid to approximately 100 individuals, aiming to alleviate economic hardship in his characteristic compassionate manner”.
