Peter Obi stated that being in opposition implies facing several challenges in the country. Obi revealed his personal troubles, claiming that he and his family were going through unspeakable tribulations that also affected people close to him and his businesses.

He further said that even his coworkers are reluctant to interact with him in public for fear of repercussions from the rulling government. Despite these challenges, he reinforced his resolve, underlining that he has made up his mind to continue fighting for change even if it meant his end.

He said, “Our democracy is faulty. it wasn’t designed to support the opposition. The opposition in this country are actually in difficulty. If I tell you what I and my family go through, you wouldn’t even believe I can still be standing and going around this country. But I have made up my mind that if this is the end, then so be it. It is difficult to be in opposition in this country because everything is against you. People don’t want to see you, they don’t want to talk to you. I see my colleagues at the airport, and they don’t want to greet me because they don’t want the government of the day to see them greeting you.
