In an interview with Seun Okinbaloye on Mic On Podcast, Sowore said before Obasanjo was released, there were fights among his family members over how to sell his properties, including a generator. He said this was widely known at that time.
However, Sowore said Obasanjo became very rich overnight after he came out of detention. It would be recalled that Obasanjo was imprisoned by the military regime of General Sani Abacha and he was released in 1998
In Sowore’s words: “Obasanjo came out of detention with 20,000 naira, before he was released his family members were fighting over how to sell his properties including generator; this is public knowledge at that time.
