According to Vanguard, former Senate President Senator Ahmad Lawan of the APC, Yobe North, has sharply denounced attempts by those he described as enemies of the nation and troublemakers who seek to sow discord among ethnic groups and create political unrest.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

He firmly denied a report published by Nasarawa Reporters, which falsely claimed he had criticized President Bola Tinubu’s policies by stating, “Nobody is criticizing Tinubu because he is Yoruba; we all know his policies caused hunger and unbearable hardships.”

In a statement issued on Monday in Abuja by his Media Adviser, Ezrel Tabiowo, Lawan emphasized that the alleged statement was not only untrue but also deeply insensitive and divisive. He asserted that the report was a deliberate attempt to sow seeds of disunity among Nigerians. Lawan reiterated his unwavering support for President Bola Tinubu’s government, emphasizing his commitment to the progress and unity of all Nigerians.

Lawan described the report as a fabrication intended to stoke ethnic division and undermine national harmony. He expressed his ongoing support for President Tinubu, highlighting his dedication to working towards the administration’s goals for the betterment of Nigeria.

He also condemned the recent wave of fake news and misinformation on various online platforms, which he said were aimed at creating confusion and undermining public confidence in President Tinubu’s government.

Furthermore, Lawan acknowledged and appreciated the efforts of the Tinubu administration in addressing the myriad issues facing the country.
