Jonathan acknowledged the political challenges Governor Fubara has faced since taking office and stated that such obstacles are common for leaders but often serve as stepping stones to greater achievements.
He urged the people of Rivers State to continue supporting their governor and work towards peace and unity for the state’s progress.
During the ceremony, Jonathan explained that leadership comes with trials and opposition and encouraged Fubara to remain steadfast, highlighting that overcoming these struggles would strengthen his leadership skills.
“I know you (Gov. Fubara) are passing through challenges, and at occasions like these, I try to keep quiet. I don’t like to say certain things. This is the first time you are holding a top political office. You will face a lot. But remember, nobody becomes a General without fighting wars. Whatever challenges you face now are preparing you to be a General in politics.
