NNPCL Invites Ex-President Obasanjo for Tour of P/Harcourt Refinery, Nigerians React

 

 

After former President Olusegun Obasanjo was invited by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) to visit the freshly restored Port Harcourt refinery to confirm that crude oil refining is fully operational, there have been a number of responses.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

According to a report published by VANGUARD on their official X, formerly known as Twitter, handle, it states that NNPCL invited Obasanjo to tour the facility after he claimed that the Nigerians are being misled by the oil company.

While reacting to Obasanjo’s claims, the NNPCL’s spokesperson, Olufemi Soneye, extended an invitation to the former president to visit the P/Harcourt facility, assuring him of the company’s transparency.

 

 

Furthermore, Mr. Soneye urged President Obasanjo to support the NNPCL’s commitment in reviving the country’s oil and gas sector.

In his words, Soneye said, “We extend an open invitation to President Obasanjo for a tour of the rehabilitated refineries to witness firsthand the progress made under the new NNPC Limited.”

“We invite our esteemed former president to join us in this effort as we continue to deliver energy security for our nation and provide tangible benefits to Nigerians.”
