Nigerian Police Breaks Silence Following Assault On Bolt Driver By House Of Reps Member, Hon. Alex

According to reports, the bolt driver was assaulted by Hon. Alex over a dispute regarding some goods he was asked to deliver. A video which is currently circulating on social media shows Hon. Alex threatening to make the bolt driver ‘disappear’, the driver also claimed that his shirt was torn off by the Honorable during their dispute.

Reacting to this development, the Nigerian Police revealed that the case was reported by Mr. Stephen to the police divisional headquarters, and they’re already handling it, they also warned the public from using the name and office of the Inspector-General as a means of intimidation.

The tweet reads;

“The Nigeria Police Force is aware of the incident between a Bolt driver, Mr. Stephen Abuwatseya, and Hon. Alexander Ikwegh, which took place on October 27, 2024, in Maitama, Abuja. The FCT Command is actively handling the case following Mr. Abuwatseya’s official report at the Maitama Divisional Headquarters.
