According to Sanusi, the Federation has not initiated any process to ban Osimhen, nor has any such process been concluded.

He urged the media to collaborate with the NFF to resolve issues positively and focus on the bigger picture, rather than escalating matters unnecessarily.

The NFF General Secretary said that there was no official communication from the Federation regarding Osimhen’s ban, yet some individuals have spread false information.

He stressed that this is not the time to spread falsehood and pollute the public space, but rather to focus on resolving matters surrounding the Super Eagles and looking ahead to upcoming tournaments with confidence.

He said that the Federation is currently prioritizing preparations for the 2025 AFCON qualifiers and the remaining six matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification series.

In a statement that was quoted by the NFF media unit, Sanusi said, “There was no official communication from the NFF, yet some persons have gone to town to talk about a ban on Osimhen from the national team. This is not good at all.

“Our focus currently is to resolve all matters around the Super Eagles and be able to look ahead with confidence to the 2025 AFCON qualifiers and the remaining six matches of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification series.”

In addition, he said, “This is not the time to spread falsehood and foul the public space the more.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
