Natasha Akpoti Responds After Akpabio’s Wife Told Court To Order Her To Pay N250B, Apologize Publicly

Senator Natasha Akpoti, who represents Kogi Central in the National Assembly, responded to a court order that ordered Ekaette Akpabio, the wife of Senate President Godswill Akpabio, to pay N250 billion in damages and issue a public apology in two newspapers.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

This is coming after The Cable reported that Mrs Akpabio has sued Natasha Akpoti over an alleged defamation.

The legal representative of Ekaette Akpabio said;

“An order awarding the sum of N250 billion as exemplary, punitive, aggravated and general damages against the Respondent for her infringement of the fundamental rights of the Applicant alongside”.

However, Senator Natasha Akpoti has now reacted through her lawyer, Victor Giwa. In the report that surfaced online, Giwa told the wife of the Senate President to stay out of the matter and allow her husband to defend himself.

The lawyer also stated that the Kogi lawmaker has concrete evidence to back up her claims.

 

 

He was quoted as saying that;

“Consequently, we would like to state that the allegations of our client are personal to the Senate President, and our client believes the Senate President has the capacity to defend himself and refutes any of these allegations against him. Our client has concrete evidence to substantiate her allegations. We will suggest that you leave the defense of the allegations for the Senate President”.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
