Members of the National Assembly (NASS) have been asked by Muslim Rights Concern (MURIC) to give away the food that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu gave them to the underprivileged. According to the statement, each legislator received N100 million worth of food, while senators received N200 million. MURIC cast doubt on the veracity of several MPs’ claims that they received no palliative care, in spite of evidence to the contrary.

MURIC called for immediate explanation from the heads of both chambers of the NASS, stressing the importance of honesty in the distribution process. The group also advised the lawmakers to start giving out the palliatives to their people and to launch a vigorous awareness campaign to dispel false information.

MURIC commended President Tinubu and Shettima for their initiative in providing palliatives, but vowed to keep monitoring the lawmakers until they deliver. The group reaffirmed its dedication to the well-being of all Nigerians, highlighting the goal of a country where people’s basic rights are respected regardless of their background, belief, or identity.

“Why would the house of representative member display a warehouse filled with bags of rice, while some senators denied that they collected palliatives? This is a question that many Nigerians are asking, and it may have different answers depending on who you ask. Some possible explanations are:

The house of representative member wanted to show transparency and accountability, while some senators wanted to hide their involvement or divert the palliatives for personal gain.

The house of representative member was pressured by his constituents or the media to reveal the palliatives, while some senators faced less scrutiny or had more influence to cover up their tracks.

The house of representative member had a different political affiliation or agenda than some senators, and wanted to expose or embarrass them by revealing the palliatives.

The house of representative member made a mistake or was unaware of the consequences of displaying the palliatives, while some senators were more cautious or strategic in their actions.

These are just some possible scenarios, and they may not reflect the actual truth or motives of the lawmakers. The best way to find out the real answer is to demand more information and evidence from the NASS leadership and the lawmakers themselves. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
