The continuous conflict between his niece and the DMW Record Label Boss has prompted Mr. Dele Momodu, the uncle of Davido’s baby mama, Sophia Momodu, to respond on social media. He disclosed that a few weeks ago, Davido informed him that he had spoken with his daughter, Imade Adeleke, after a lengthy hiatus of almost two years, and that he was really thrilled and excited in a post uploaded on his personal Instagram page. Dele stated that after the singer told him he finally spoke with his daughter, he thought everything was settled and he and Sophia would now have the opportunity of taking maximum care of their daughter, Imade.
Mr Dele Momodu also revealed that he took Sophia and Imade to his dear friend, Governor Ademola Adeleke seeking for intervention and to the best of his knowledge, there was never a problem of joint custody and that the issues were: none payment of school fees for several sessions, non payment of accomodation and salaries of a nanny and so on.
He further stressed that he mentioned everything to Davido’s father, Mr Adedeji Adeleke and he responded like a true grandfather by clearing all the school fees, gave his grand daughter a car to take her to school and also offered one of their family apartments to her.

“Davido had told me he eventually spoke to their daughter, after a long lull of about 2 years. He was very happy and excited, so I thought everything was settled and he and Sophia would now have the opportunity of taking maximum care of their daughter. I had offered special thanks to David’s Dad, Dr Adedeji Adeleke for his kindness and support for our daughter during the period of David’s absence”.
“I had also taken Sophia and their daughter to my very dear friend, Governor Ademola Adeleke, seeking his intervention. To the best of my knowledge, there was never a problem of joint custody.
