In an interview with Seun Okinbaloye on Mic On Podcast, Abdul said Kola was involved in a relationship with General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida’s (IBB) daughter while his father was detained by the military regime. He said he was a bit relieved that their father didn’t witness Kola’s actions. He also questioned how Kola thought he could lead the country when he couldn’t effectively manage their family’s business, the Abiola Empire.

In Abdul’s words: “When our father was still in jail, he (Kola) was having relations with General Babangida’s daughter. It is just sad.
