Mixed Reactions After Chidi Odinkalu Stated Using The Word "Idle" To Describe EFCC Is An Abuse To Idleness

Following the statement made by human rights activist and attorney Prof. Chidi Anselm Odinkalu that calling the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, or EFCC, “idle” is an abuse of idleness, social media users have responded in a number of ways. Prof. Chidi Anselm Odinkalu made the statement after EFCC accused Pascal Chibuike Okechukwu, popularly known as Cubana Chief Priest of spraying and tampering with the naira at a social event.

According to THE CABLE, EFCC has filed a three-count charge against Cubana Chief Priest for alleged abuse of the Nigerian currency.

However, Chidi Odinkalu has now stated that the EFCC has become an environmental organization committed to keeping the maria clean. He said describing the commission as idle is an abuse to idleness.

Prof Chidi Anselm Odinkalu wrote on his page;

“Having calculated that the cost of running a laundromat for the Naira is too much for it, the EFCC has decided to become an environmental organization committed to keeping the maria clean. Describing them as idle is an abuse to idleness. The money launderers roam free”.
