Martin Amaewhule: They came to attack my residence, we are hearing that they are planning another one

Allegedly planned campaigns of violence and disinformation against political personalities in the state have alarmed the speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly. Martin Amaewhule, speaking on Symfoni TV, charged opposition groups with using media outlets as propaganda tools. “Their main tool at the moment is to fund the media to mislead Nigerians and River people. The Speaker further alleged that these groups are actively organizing youth for violent activities. “The other instrument they use is to mobilize youth, to gather them and go and attack the speaker. You are aware they came to attack my residence. We are hearing that they are planning another one to attack us again,” Amaewhule revealed.
