Khaled Hassan Warns: Weapons That Israel Has Not Used Since Its Establishment Will Be Deployed

Hassan, known for his expertise in regional security, criticized the resurgence of rhetoric reminiscent of former Egyptian President Gamal Abdel Nasser, who famously championed Arab nationalism and military pride. Hassan wrote, “All we hoped for was peace, but it seems that Nasser did not die. Today we hear the same tone of pride and ignorance from people who believe that the Egyptian army is capable of crushing Israel”.

 

Hassan highlighted Israel’s military superiority, stating that any significant Egyptian military movement would prompt Israel to deploy advanced weapons never before used in its history. He warned, “It is possible and very easy to eliminate tens of millions of soldiers in just a few minutes. Israel will not face an army whose number exceeds the entire population of the State of Israel while it is capable of wiping Cairo off the map in a matter orunintended.

His remarks underscore the disproportionate military capabilities between the two nations, with Israel possessing cutting-edge technology and a robust defense system.

Hassan’s comments come amid growing tensions between Egypt and Israel, as reports indicate significant Egyptian military buildup in the Sinai Peninsula, including the construction of tunnels and bridges over the Suez Canal. These developments have raised concerns in Israel about potential violations of the Camp David Accords and the possibility of conflict, even if unintended.

In his post, Hassan called for an end to what he termed “ignorance,” urging Egypt and other Arab nations to prioritize peace over conflict. “Enough ignorance, peace is the best choice for Egypt, the Arab countries, and the entire region!” he concluded .
