Prominent All Progressive Congress (APC) member Lauretta Onochie has commended the Department of State Services (DSS) for holding Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) leader Joe Ajaero.

Onochie commended the DSS for their swift action, saying, “Good job DSS. He was fleeing to a nation where laws are respected and DSS grabbed him.”
According to a news report by Vanguard, she described Ajaero as a fugitive trying to escape to a country known for upholding the rule of law, but was successfully caught by the DSS.
Onochie’s comments come after Ajaero’s detention sparked reactions from various quarters, with some criticizing the government’s actions as an attempt to silence opposition voices.
