Manchester United, led by Erik ten Hag, struck first when Christian Eriksen scored on a counter-attack in the 15th minute, marking his fourth goal of the season.
Just before halftime, Onana made a crucial double save to prevent Fenerbahce from equalising.
However, the Turkish side came back strong after the break, with Youssef En-Nesyri heading in a deserved equaliser.
Despite the game ending in a draw, the final stages were anything but calm. Mourinho, frustrated with a penalty decision that went against his team, was shown a red card.
Nevertheless, he had nothing but praise for his team’s performance and singled out Onana for keeping Manchester United in the game.
“Onana made two incredible saves in our fantastic initial period,” Mourinho told TNT Sports.
“He saved the result. My keeper didn’t make a save; he made two impossible saves.”
Mourinho further revealed how decisive Onana was, saying, “We were better than them, so it’s a good result for Manchester United.”
On the match overall, he added, “They got a point against us, we didn’t get a point against them. We played amazing.”
Mourinho expressed confidence in his team’s ability to dominate in future matches if they maintained this level of performance, suggesting that they could outplay other teams in their domestic league.CLICK TO READ THE FULL NEWS HERE▶️▶️
