Jacob Mark: Coming To Conduct Congresses In Rivers Other Than The Sitting Gov Is An Aberration

 

Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) legal adviser Jacob Mark harshly condemned the way congresses in Rivers State were conducted, calling it a “complete sham” and a “disregard” for the party’s constitution in an interview with Arise News.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Mark emphasized that the sitting Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, cannot be taken out of the equation and that it is “unheard of” for someone else to come and conduct congresses in his place. He questioned the handover of congress materials to someone other than the Governor, calling it “completely wrong and outrageous”.

Mark’s comments highlight the ongoing political tensions in Rivers State and the PDP, with concerns about the party’s constitution, Nyesom Wike and the role of the Governor in party affairs.

In his words;

“Coming to conduct congresses in Rivers State other than the sitting Governor is an aberration. People may have their reasons for doing what they are doing but this is a complete sham, total disregards to the tenets, constitution of the party because by his position as the Governor, you cannot take him out of the equation. I don’t know what they did to hand over the materials of the congress to someone who is not the Governor of the State.
