In response, Senator Shehu Sani called the abduction of these youngsters “tragic,” pointing out that this is the same village where, more than a month ago, a school principal named Mr. Idris Sufyan was assassinated and his wife abducted. He continued, expressing hope that these students who had been abducted would soon be able to return home.
Senator Shehu Sani made this disclosure in a post he made on his official X handle, while reacting to the kidnap of these students.
He wrote: “It’s tragic to hear that 232 students have just been kidnapped in Kuriga village, Chikun Lg in Kaduna State. It’s the same village where a school principal, Idris Sufyan was killed and his wife kidnapped over a month ago.However, I’m optimistic their freedom will be secured.”
Recall that it was reported on Thursday that armed bandit stormed LGEA Primary School, Kuriga (1), in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State and kidnapped over 200 school children and their teachers.
