Israel blames Iran for the senseless killing of Rabbi Kogan, but Iran vehemently refutes the accusations.

 

Iran has vehemently denied allegations that it was complicit in the murder of Rabbi Zvi Kogan, a prominent figure in the Abu Dhabi Chabad chapter. Kogan’s body was discovered dead in the Emirati city of Al Ain, some 150 kilometers from Abu Dhabi, according to the Times of Israel.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Israeli officials believe that a group of Uzbek citizens who were allegedly recruited by Iran viciously attacked Kogan, according to reports in the Hebrew media.

After the horrific attack, the perpetrators are thought to have escaped to Turkey. In a statement to Reuters, the Iranian embassy in the United Arab Emirates vehemently denied any role Iran may have played in Kogan’s killing.

Tensions between Israel and Iran are rising at the time of this denial. The office of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has denounced the murder as a “heinous antisemitic terrorist act.”

Netanyahu has promised to use all of Israel’s resources to hold those accountable. Three suspects have recently been taken into custody by the UAE in relation to Kogan’s murder.
