Isaac Fayose: I donated N20m to Obi and gave Obidients my hotel, from what I saw we won the election

 

Former Governor Ayodele Fayose’s brother, Isaac Fayose, has stated that he will back Peter Obi in the 2023 presidential election. He stated that he chose to back Obi because he was moved by his vision for bettering Nigeria.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

Speaking during an interview with Seun Okinbaloye on Mic On Podcast, Fayose disclosed that he started by donating ₦20 million to Obi’s campaign. He said later he offered his hotel in Ibadan to Obi’s supporters, known as the “Obidients.” He said he also took charge of coordinating campaign efforts in Ibeju-Lekki and Eti-Osa areas.

Fayose said he believes that Obi won the election and he expressed his disappointment that both the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the courts did not recognize Obi as the winner. However, he stated that they have moved on from the outcome.

In Fayose’s words: “I started by donating 20 million naira. Later I gave them my hotel in Ibadan, the Ibadan Obidients. I coordinated Ibeju-Lekki Eti-osa for him. I believe he won the election but unfortunately judiciary said we didn’t. According to me and from what I saw before and after, I believe we won that election.
