Speaking up, Governor Sim Fubara discussed his tense relationship with former Governor Nyesom Wike. Speaking in a video that AIT released, Fubara thanked everyone for their support and assistance. Fubara said if the only way to show loyalty is by constantly being subservient, he would rather step down and return home. He said ruling in such a manner would be harmful to him and also to the people of Rivers State and future generations. He stated his commitment to standing firm and leading with confidence
