During an interview with Arise TV, Abdullahi expressed his surprise at the current political developments, particularly noting Fubara’s simultaneous roles as a PDP governor and the chairman of the PDP governors’ forum. He highlighted the contradiction of a governor overseeing an election that led to substantial losses for his party, stating, “You have a governor who presided over an LG election, and he allowed APP to win in 21 local governments. And so, how do you describe that?”
Abdullahi further emphasized the confusing nature of Fubara’s actions, particularly his participation in the swearing-in ceremony of APP members in a state led by the PDP. “You have even a governor who is supposed to be the chairman of the governors’ forum also going there to superintend over the swearing-in of an opposition,” he remarked, questioning the logic behind such decisions.
