Babachir David Lawal, a former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), expressed uncertainty about Onanuga’s anti-Igbo attitudes. This is coming after Bayo Onanuga, suggested that the #EndBadGovernanceInNigeria protest was backed by Peter Obi and the Obidient Movement.

Lawal pointed out the integral role that Igbo individuals play in various aspects of society, such as commerce.

He recounted a personal experience of an Igbo individual in his village who had become a well-integrated member of the community, engaging in the local economy by selling traditional gin and establishing a family and farmlands in the area.

In addition, Lawal acknowledged Tinubu’s positive attributes but raised concerns about the influence of individuals like Onanuga, whom he described as sycophants incapable of providing honest feedback to Tinubu.
