Tersugh Aondona, a 26-year-old Benue man who married three women on January 31, said in an interview with Punch that he had intended to marry three more wives, but that his three wives at home begged him not to. He canceled the idea because his three wives even promised to do everything it takes to please him. He added that he married multiple wives because of his father, whose name was omitted. According to what Tersugh Aondona said, “Yes, I had planned to marry three more wives to make a total of six, but the three wives at home invited me to a meeting and pleaded with me not to marry another wife. They assured me that they would do whatever I needed them to do, and we came to an agreement, and I aborted the plan.
