According to Vanguard, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has come under fire from the Alaigbo Development Foundation (ADF), a well-known Igbo think tank, for what is seen as a lack of compassion towards Nigerians who are suffering as a result of his administration’s economic policies.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

The ADF’s National President, Professor Ukachukwu Awuzie, expressed disapproval of Tinubu’s insensitivity to the severe hardship faced by Nigerians.

Speaking with journalists in Enugu, Awuzie highlighted his concern over the administration’s apparent disregard for the suffering population.

Awuzie questioned the rationale behind President Tinubu’s decision to spend millions on a new presidential jet while many Nigerians are reportedly dying from hunger.

He argued that such actions reflect a lack of concern for the plight of ordinary citizens, emphasizing that purchasing a new jet or an expensive car while people are in dire need demonstrates a significant disconnect from the realities faced by the populace.

Awuzie said: “How can he buy a new presidential jet when the people are dying of hunger? How can you as the President, buy a new car for almost one billion Naira when your people are suffering?

“When the people protested against hunger, the response to the protest was to buy a new presidential jet. It does not show empathy for the people of Nigeria. This is the ugly situation we have found ourselves in the country.”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
