Three members of the Osun State Command of the Western Nigeria Security Network, also known as Operation Amotekun, are said to have been injured in a gunfight with armed herdsmen while trying to save farmers in Kajola village, Osun State, whose crops had been set on fire. In a recent interview with Daily Trust TV, Kazeem Raji, one of the three Amotekun operatives, recounted the experience. He said as they approached the cassava farm, already ravaged by the herdsmen, the situation escalated dramatically. Raji explained that the herdsmen who were armed spoke to their cattle and their cattle began to attack them (Amotekun) while the herdsmen also opened fire on them.
