Ruth Ogunleye said that she encountered a senior officer there, identified as Col. IB Abdulkareem, after being posted to the Cantonment Medical Center in Ojo, Lagos, in 2022. She claimed that once she rejected Col. Abdulkareem’s advances, he began to harass her and has been torturing her in the army ever since. Every time he sees her, she claims, he threatens to fire her from the Army.
According to the report by the Punch and Sahara Reporters, Ruth Ogunleye alleged that Col. Abdulkareem threw her out of her room and even sent boys to her room. She said that she has evidence and witness to back up her claims.
She said, “In 2022, I was posted to Cantonment Medical Center, Ojo, where I met Col. IB Abdulkareem, who requested for me and I refused. Ever since then, this man has been my nightmare in the army – threatening to dismiss me each time he sees me.
“He ejected me from my room, sent some boys to my house. I have all the evidence and I have witness. He came to my house to eject me.”
