In her capacity as the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate in 2023, Melaye emphasized the lack of marketplaces where members of the ruling party can purchase goods at a reduced cost.

In his statement, Melaye underlined that essential commodities like indomie, diesel, rice, cement, and bread will be accessible to Nigerians at the same prices, regardless of their political affiliations.

“Happy Sunday, fellow countrymen and women. Last last, there is no APC or ’emilokan’ voter’s market. We will all buy indomie, diesel, rice, cement, and bread at the same price,” he stated.

Melaye’s statement connects with the ongoing economic challenges facing Nigerians under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
