According to the governor, establishing local governments in Etche and Emohua strengthens their hold on the Ikwerres in the state. He emphasises his resolve to respect the Etche people’s assistance to his government. He said he would “lift up their faces” in front of people who disapproved of their political choice.

“I want to assure you that your support is well noted, and in return, we will continue to do our best to lift your faces before those who believe that you made a mistake in supporting us,” he said in a Symfoni media coverage. We won’t let you experience any embarrassment. We are pleased to have the current LG chairman present at this event, not only in Etche but also in Emohua. It is an indication that everything will be accomplished with perseverance.
