He addressed accusations of inciting anarchy, countering that those making such claims are the ones actually fostering unrest. He asserted that the majority of the populace supports their position, and they possess a legitimate mandate to act accordingly. He emphasized that only democratically elected officials can legitimately occupy the role of Local Government Chairman as per the constitution.

He said in an interview with Channels TV, ”We have the majority of the people on our side and we have the mandate to so do. Now that the law has extended our tenure, we must do our job. It is only democratically elected people that fill the Local Government Chairman gap. If you check the constitution, no other person can be authorized to do so.

We are not afraid of anything but when people are talking of Anarchy, they are the ones calling for Anarchy and they are prepared for it. It is obvious that the governor seems like somebody who is not interested in leadership and bringing peace in Rivers State.
