He highlighted that contrary to this portrayal, Wike has consistently demonstrated affection and support for the Ijaw people, both during his tenure as the governor of Rivers State and thereafter. He stated that Wike as governor notably selected his deputy from the Ijaw extraction, thereby ensuring significant representation within his administration.
He said in a report by Channels TV, ”The FCT minister is not an enemy of Ijaws as he has been portrayed to be. He has always shown love towards the Ijaw people during and after his tenure as Rivers state governor. We would like to state that as governor of Rivers State, Wike chose his deputy from Ijaw extraction.
