On Saturday, February 1, 2025, ACP Muyiwa Adejobi, the Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, congratulated his fellow students on completing 20 years of service. On Saturday night, Adejobi revealed this on his Facebook wall, stating that he and his friends were promoted to Cadet officers in 2025, with the title of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP). With this and according to the police regulations, Adejobi and his course mates, who are either Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP) or Chief Superintendents of Police (CSP), have 15 years left to be police officers except any of attains the age of 60 years before then.
Adejobi and his course mates became ASP in 2005 and after becoming ASP, they rose to become ASP1, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Superintendent of Police (SP), Chief Superintendent of the (CSP) before he became Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP).
Adejobi, while congratulating his mates, wrote: “Congratulations to my course mates, Cadet ASP Course 22, 2005, as we clocked 20 years in service today. It’s well with us all.”
As ACP, Adejobi and his mates have five steps to reach the pinnacle of their careers. These are Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), Commissioner of Police (CP), Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) and the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
