Even Obasanjo, with all his military background, never indulged in such grave undemocratic practice - According to Moh Lukman

All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Salihu Moh Lukman has expressed concerns regarding the party’s leadership and governance in a recent statement. Expressing disappointment over the party’s performance, Lukman lamented the missed opportunities during the eight-year tenure of former President Muhammadu Buhari. He criticized the party for failing to uphold democratic principles and for its leaders’ indifference towards the plight of the people.

The statement partly reads, “As leaders in APC, we must accept responsibility for the present unfortunate reality whereby for the first time we have produced an elected government, which is practically scornful to other political leaders.

“Since the time of former President Buhari, we have succeeded in producing elected governments that audaciously imagine that they can manage the affairs of this country exclusively without allowing permissible consultations as provided in the APC Constitution.

“Even former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, with all his military background, never indulged in such grave undemocratic practice. Lukman highlighted instances of protests and looting by citizens driven by hunger and frustration, blaming the party’s leadership for being out of touch with reality. He criticized the APC for neglecting consultation processes and for its authoritarian approach to governance.

Furthermore, Lukman questioned the motives behind the APC’s existence, suggesting that it has become nothing more than a vehicle for power grab. He accused the party of prioritizing the ambitions of individual leaders over the interests of the nation and its people. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
