
The remarks were made by Mostafa Bakry, a member of Egypt’s People’s Assembly, in response to reports suggesting that Israel could target the Aswan High Dam in a military confrontation.
“Egypt’s army will overtake Tel Aviv in one day”, Mostafa said according to the report.
Mostafa accused Israel of underestimating Egypt’s military strength and pointed to the challenges Israeli forces face in their operations against Hamas and Palestinian fighters. He warned that any threat to Egypt’s security would be met with a swift and decisive response.
