Edo:Kennedy Iyere, I Can't Waste My Time Signing Peace Accord That'd Help The Rigging Power Of INEC

The Accord Party’s candidate for governor of Edo State, Kennedy Iyere, has denounced the Peace Accord as “one of the biggest electoral frauds” in the nation. In a recent interview with TVC News, Iyere expressed his disapproval of the mechanism intended to foster amicable behavior between political parties and candidates without holding back. “The peace accord is one of the biggest electoral fraud we have in this country,” Iyere asserted. “It’s a business enterprise benefiting some people who have some ways headed INEC in rigging elections. There was no need wasting my time signing a peace accord that would further help the rigging power of INEC. So for me, it’s a fraudulent exercise that should be eradicated. It’s a total fraud.”

The Peace Accord is traditionally signed before major elections, with the aim of promoting peaceful conduct among candidates and political parties. The process is usually overseen by notable figures, such as former Head of State and Chairman of the National Peace Committee, General Abdulsalami Abubakar.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
