Edo: Emmanuel Odigie, We Scrutinized All 29 Governorship Candidates; Okpebholo Was Least Qualified

 

Of the 29 candidates vying for the APC governorship in Edo State, Monday Okpebholo was found to be the least qualified, according to All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain and head of the party’s integrity group, Prince Emmanuel Odigie. He sees an Edo State with a world-class economy, where people can afford basic essentials like rice and garri and have access to work opportunities. In Edo State, Odigie wants to build a blue line and a seaport that are modeled after the infrastructure of Lagos State.Odigie’s remarks imply that a comprehensive assessment of all 29 candidates was carried out by the APC integrity group, and Okpebholo’s rating raises questions regarding his eligibility for the governorship seat.

Quoting him, “There were 29 sons and daughters that were interested in the APC ballot.””We had a committee that scrutinized each of these 29 aspirants, and we rated all of them; in all the 29, Monday Okpebholo was the least qualified.”

“I do not speak for the PDP; I speak for the integrity group of the APC, and I’m a Nigerian that wants good governance.”
