Edo: Adaze Emwanta, We know the role Wike played, Obaseki has the spirit of always betraying people

A well-known member of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Adaze Emwanta, recently attacked Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki’s leadership style and character in an appearance on Channels TV. When evaluating the governor’s style of governance, Emwanta was blunt. He said frankly, “Obaseki operates as a dictator,” citing the governor’s treatment of his deputy, Philip Shaibu, as proof.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

The APC chieftain then reflected on the collaborative efforts that led to Obaseki’s rise to power. “I am a human being, I know what we did for him. I know how we made him governor,” Emwanta said, emphasizing his personal involvement in Obaseki’s political ascent.

He went on to highlight the crucial role played by various political actors and entities in securing Obaseki’s position. “We know the role we played in making him governor. If he was not a candidate of the PDP, would he have become governor?” Emwanta questioned rhetorically, underscoring the importance of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Obaseki’s electoral success.

Emwanta also pointed out the significant contributions of other political figures. “We know the role Wike played, we know the role Shaibu played, they stood by him,” he said, acknowledging the support Obaseki received from Governor Nyesom Wike and his own deputy, Philip Shaibu.

However, Emwanta alleged that despite this widespread support, Obaseki has consistently failed to show loyalty to his allies. In a damning accusation, he stated, “This man has the spirit of always betraying people in his veins. There’s nobody who helped Obaseki in this life that he has not betrayed.”

These allegations paint a picture of a leader who, according to Emwanta, has a pattern of turning against those who have supported him. The accusations of dictatorial tendencies and habitual betrayal are serious claims that, if true, could have significant implications for political relationships and governance in Edo State.

It’s important to note that these are unverified allegations made by a member of an opposition party. Governor Obaseki and his administration have not yet responded to these accusations. As this story develops, it will be crucial to hear from all parties involved and for any evidence supporting these claims to be thoroughly examined.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
