For the horrifying murder of a girl in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Taiwo Yemitan and his twin brother Kehinde were just taken into custody. On January 14, Punch said that Yemitan had provided unsettling information about the twins’ horrific acts as serial killers. Head of Investigation Kunle Akinrinade heard Taiwo admit to the abduction and murder of Darasimi, in which he described the meticulous planning and execution that went into the crime. In his subsequent confession, he revealed that the event that led to his arrest occurred when he was trying to sell the victim’s severed head for N100,000.

The disclosures about the Yemitan twins have shocked their community, according to the Nigerian Tribune. In Yoruba culture, twins are emblems of favours from on high and riches. But the brothers have brought shame upon themselves and their community by heading a criminal gang that engages in kidnappings, ritual killings, and the illicit trading of human body parts, rather than preserving these beloved principles.

Among their sinister rites and products were so-called “money-attracting” soaps, which they sold to anyone who sought mystical riches. The Yemitan twins were reputed to be skilled carpenters and herbalists in addition to their involvement in these horrific actions. Darasimi was their most recent victim, brought under false pretences into their hideout in the Premier neighbourhood of Abeokuta.

As soon as she got there, they murdered and disfigured her in order to sell her parts for religious rites, carrying out their evil scheme. On December 22, 2024, Taiwo and another accomplice, Kazeem, were caught by the Ogun State Police Command and other security agencies after an extensive investigation. His identical twin, Kehinde, however, escaped and is currently missing.

Police spokesperson Omolola Odutola said that the Yemitan twins had killed sex worker Darasimi after tricking her into going to their house. Taiwo admitted, in a sickening way, that their heinous crimes were financially motivated. “We sell regular body parts for N20,000, hands or limbs for N50,000, and a leg for N50,000, while the heart goes for N100,000,” he confessed. He confessed that they had sold Darasimi’s hand for the going rate.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
