To this, Chidi Lloyd, the Chairman of Emuoha LGA in Rivers State, has responded. During an interview with Seun Okinbaloye on Mic On Podcast, Lloyd referred to a previous declaration made by Odili, stating that Wike’s performance as governor exceeded Odili’s own.
According to Lloyd, Odili repeated the claim on multiple times, most notably when Wike gave him a mansion that he currently uses as his private home. He hinted that if Fubara leaves government, Odili’s allegiance to him would shift.
In Lloyd’s words: “Peter Odili said Wike’s performance as governor surpassed his own when Wike gave him a mansion which he built for him as what is today his private residence. So this goes a lot to say about the personality of people. Today it is Governor Fubara, who knows what will happen when Governor Fubara leaves office?
