He capped off a magnificent individual performance by capitalizing on a horrendous error by Everton’s goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford.

After intercepting a wayward pass, Palmer cheekily chipped the stranded Pickford from just outside the penalty area to complete his hat-trick.

Nicolas Jackson ensured Chelsea went into the break with a commanding lead, volleying home a spectacular goal just before halftime.

The second half saw a slightly slower tempo, but Chelsea remained in control. Palmer continued his impressive performance, converting a penalty just past the hour mark to claim his fourth goal of the night.

Academy graduate Alfie Gilchrist marked his debut with a moment to remember, drilling a composed shot into the net in the 90th minute to put the icing on the cake for Chelsea.

The win extends Chelsea’s unbeaten run to four games and keeps them within striking distance of the European spots. However, their immediate focus will be on the upcoming FA Cup final against Manchester City next weekend.
