Musa revealed in a video released by Channels TV that he was sent to Liberia on a mission as soon as he graduated from the Nigerian Defence Academy in 1991. He disclosed that he lost ten of his classmates in the line of duty during that period.
General Musa mentioned that children of fallen soldiers grow up without knowing their parents, which makes their lives even more difficult.
In General Musa’s words: “When I passed out in 1991 from academy, we went straight to Liberia. I lost 10 of my course mates immediately and over time it has been like that. So the sacrifice is enormous and people don’t really tend to understand what it means that families are losing their loved ones. No father, no mother.
