President Muhammadu Buhari’s former minister of sport and youth development, Solomon Dalung, has discussed the changes in the economy since Buhari departed office on May 29. CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>

During Buhari’s exit, a bag of rice costed 35,000 Naira, but Dalung said in an interview with Daily Trust TV that it now costs almost 100,000 Naira. According to him, beans, which used to cost about 29,000 Naira, are now valued at roughly 100,000 Naira. Dalung also drew attention to the striking disparity in the cost of transportation, pointing out that a journey from Abuja to Jos, which used to cost 500 Naira, now costs almost 5,000 Naira. He continued by saying Buhari is not to blame for the present economic difficulties.

In Dalung’s words: “Buhari left Rice at ₦35,000 a bag, today it is about ₦100,000; he left Beans at ₦29,000 it is at ₦100,000.
