Olori Naomi, who is the estranged wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Ogunwusi, was arrested after a stampede led to the death of over 30 children at a Christmas party she organized.
She and a fellow organizer of the event, popular radio proprietor, Oriyomi Hazmat, were ordered to be remanded at the Agodi Prison in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
After spending days in custody, she was granted bail by Justice K. B Olawoyin of the Oyo State High Court, sitting in Ring Road, Ibadan.
Shortly after her release from prison, a video surfaced on social media showing Olori Naomi, her mother and two other women dancing and rejoicing.
This didn’t sit well with Igbokwe who considered their action as inconsiderate and a show of no remorse.
He shared on Facebook, “These people forgot that 36 Children died in the stampede. This dance is bad behavior, no conscience, no remorse, no empathy, no regrets, no sympathy etc. This is despicable behavior and inhuman.”
Meanwhile, the Oyo State Government has filed an 18-count criminal charge against the former queen as well as Hamzat and the Principal of Islamic High School, Bashorun, Ibadan, Abdulahi Fasasi.
The case was filed on Friday, January 10, 2025, at the State High Court.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
