In his remarks at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Tinubu highlighted the government’s commitment to economic recovery. He pointed out that Nigeria is on a path to recovery, referencing statements made by the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, to support this assertion. The President recounted past instances of protest-related destruction to underline his point about the adverse effects such actions can have on public infrastructure and services. Tinubu’s interaction with the traditional rulers was also a platform to thank them for their efforts in communicating with the citizens. He acknowledged their role in promoting peace and stability within their communities. The President’s gratitude underscored the importance of the traditional rulers’ influence in mitigating unrest and fostering a cooperative relationship between the government and the populace.
