Speaking during the “Ever Winning Wisdom” session at Shiloh 2024, Bishop Oyedepo emphasized the biblicalmandate for couples to be one flesh, highlighting the dangers of neglecting this principle.
Addressing the audience at Faith Tabernacle, Canaanland, he shared, “Husbands in Jamaica, wives in Australia—that’s trouble without end. The two shall be one flesh. When you ignore this truth, you are setting yourself up for disaster. Before you know it, you have married a second wife.”
He urged believers to prioritize proximity and unity in marriage, stressing that wisdom lies in adhering to God’s Word.
Bishop Oyedepo explained that living apart contradicts God’s design for marriage, which fosters intimacy and mutual growth. “Anything contrary to the truth is an ‘off thing,’” he said, rebuking modern trends that promote long-distance marriages as acceptable.
He advised couples to follow godly principles and avoid practices that could jeopardize their marital foundation.
He further highlighted the importance of wisdom in all aspects of life, citing Daniel’s extraordinary success as an example of living by divine wisdom. “Wisdom is the custodian of an ever-winning life,” he stated, adding that it is not where one lives but where one stands with God that defines destiny.
Bishop Oyedepo then challenged the congregation to evaluate their decisions through the lens of Scripture. “You can do nothing against the truth but for the truth,” he declared, urging believers to embrace divine wisdom for a fulfilling marital and spiritual life.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
