Okome said in a video broadcast by Symfoni TV that a judge from the Rivers High Court, while assessing the case, pointed out that Wike was able to run Rivers State with just six out of 32 members and asked why Fubara could not do the same with four lawmakers. Okome said that Wike, who was governor from 2015 to 2017, conducted state business with an assembly that was managed by Adams Dabotorudima. This assembly had just six members, which was not enough to enact executive legislation and budgets, since 24 members were necessary.
According to Okome, “The question the judge asked is, ‘If Mr. Wike can use six members of the House of Assembly (HoA), what stops Fubara from using the four members of the 32-member House since it is less than the 24 of the 32-man House?'”CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
