Bauer Says. “With Russia Being Focused On The War In Ukraine, Now Is The Best Time To Take Actions”

Russia’s land forces are now bigger than they were when Moscow launched its full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, but their general quality has decreased, according to a Reuters article published Monday by Admiral Rob Bauer, Chief of the NATO Military Committee. Admiral Bauer noted that while Russia’s current military threat is not as severe as it was in early 2022, NATO must use this time wisely to bolster its defences.

He called for increased investment in the defence industry, urging businesses to prepare for wartime scenarios by ensuring stable production and distribution systems.

“If we can make sure that all crucial services and goods can be delivered no matter what, then that is a key part of our deterrence,” Bauer emphasized.

 

Despite current shortcomings, NATO leaders warn that Russia is learning and improving from its wartime experiences.

General Christopher Cavoli, Supreme Allied Commander Europe, cautioned that regardless of how the war in Ukraine ends, Russia’s military will likely emerge stronger and more capable.

“The Russian armed forces are learning, they are improving, they are applying the experience gained at war,” Cavoli stated, urging NATO to accelerate its preparations for this evolving threat.

Bruno Kahl, head of Germany’s Foreign Intelligence Service, added that Russia could have the capability to launch an attack on NATO territory within the next six years.CONTINUE FULL READING>>>>>
